Sarah Jones is a board-certified lactation consultant and registered nurse with over 10 years of experience in the Mother-Baby Unit, Special Care Nursery, and NICU at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and Edward Hospital. Her extensive clinical background gives her a deep understanding of both the medical and emotional needs of parents and newborns during the critical early days of life.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Ambrose University and is CPR certified. In addition to her professional training, Sarah brings personal insight from her own experience breastfeeding her four children.
Sarah is passionate about helping the mother-baby dyad achieve their breastfeeding goals through compassionate, evidence-based care. She empowers families by promoting maternal and infant health while offering personalized guidance throughout the breastfeeding journey.
Her areas of focus include milk supply concerns (both low and oversupply), engorgement, mastitis, clogged ducts, painful latch, and nipple trauma related to breastfeeding or pumping. Sarah works with families navigating exclusive breastfeeding, exclusive pumping, and combination feeding. She also has experience supporting parents of preterm and late preterm infants, helping them establish feeding routines and safely transition through milestones such as returning to work or weaning.
With a warm and supportive approach, Sarah is dedicated to helping every family feel confident, informed, and supported—no matter where they are in their feeding journey.
